Calendar doesn't match My Work
Understand why Calendar and My Work can show different items.
Why It Happens
My Work and Calendar answer different questions.
My Work → What am I currently responsible for?
Calendar → What work or activity is scheduled for a particular time?
Because they serve different purposes, the items shown in each view do not always match.
Work In My Work But Not Calendar
An item can appear in My Work because it is assigned to you but not appear in Calendar if there is no relevant deadline or scheduled time.
Check:
- Assignee
- Current task owner
- Due date
- Scheduled date
- Current workflow state
Work In Calendar But Not My Work
Calendar can contain scheduled activity that is not directly assigned to you.
Examples can include:
- Publishing slots
- Campaign schedules
- Role-related work
- Broader team activity available through your calendar scope
Seeing something in Calendar does not necessarily mean you personally own that work.
Check Your Calendar Scope
Calendar can show different amounts of work depending on the selected scope.
Use My Schedule when you want to focus on work directly relevant to you.
Other scopes can show broader work where your role and permissions allow it.
If you are using a broader scope, Calendar may naturally contain more items than My Work.
Check Visible Calendars
Calendar groups can also be shown or hidden.
Depending on the available calendar data, these can include categories such as:
- My Tasks
- Publishing
- Shoots
- Reviews
- Approvals
If expected work is missing, make sure the relevant calendar group has not been hidden.
Check Assignment
Having the correct role does not necessarily mean the work belongs to you.
For example:
Writer role → You can perform writing work
Assigned Writer → This specific writing task belongs to you
My Work primarily follows actual responsibility rather than every task associated with your role.
Check The Deadline
Calendar needs a time-related value to place work meaningfully on the schedule.
If something appears correctly in Workflow or My Work but is missing from Calendar, check whether the underlying work has the expected deadline or scheduled date.
Check Workflow
If you are unsure which view is correct, open the underlying work in Workflow.
Workflow is the primary source of truth for production state and current task ownership.
Use:
Workflow → Where is the work and who owns it?
My Work → What do I need to do?
Calendar → When does relevant work happen?
Google Calendar
If you connected Google Calendar, remember that Google Calendar is another projection of supported scheduled and assigned AGENCIE work.
If AGENCIE Calendar and Google Calendar differ, first check the underlying assignment, deadline, and supported synchronization state inside AGENCIE.
AGENCIE remains the source of truth for the actual workflow and task state.
When Calendar and My Work appear to disagree, check the underlying Workflow item first. Then verify its owner, assignment, deadline, calendar scope, and visible calendar groups.
