Client playbook
Give the team the brand context they need to create consistent client work.
What It Is
The Client Playbook gives the agency team a shared understanding of the client's brand, audience, goals, and working context.
Instead of relying on scattered messages, old briefs, or individual team members remembering everything, important client context stays connected to the business client in AGENCIE.
Useful Fields
The playbook can include information such as:
- Brand voice
- Target audience
- Business description
- Pain points
- Content goals
- Social platforms
- Working context
- Internal agency notes
Why It Matters
Creative work gets better when the people producing it understand the business behind it.
A writer should understand how the brand communicates.
A designer should understand its audience and visual context.
A DOP or editor should understand what kind of content the campaign is trying to create.
A social media manager should understand the platforms, audience, and content goals.
The Client Playbook keeps that context available without making every new team member reconstruct the brand from old WhatsApp chats.
How To Use It
Keep the playbook focused on information that remains useful across campaigns.
Campaign-specific goals, deliverables, dates, and publishing plans should live inside the relevant campaign instead of being duplicated here.
A useful separation is:
Client Playbook → Long-term brand and business context
Campaign → Goals and strategy for a specific body of work
Content / Workflow → The actual work being produced
Internal Context
Some client information may exist specifically to help the agency operate internally.
Use internal notes for agency-side context that should not become part of client-facing communication.
Do not use the playbook as a dumping ground for temporary conversations or unrelated operational notes.
Client Access
CLIENT users have separately scoped access based on the business client they represent.
Internal agency notes and other agency-only context should not be exposed merely because a user is associated with that client.
Access to client information should continue to follow AGENCIE's role, permission, and client-scoping rules.
Update the playbook when the client's positioning, audience, brand voice, platforms, or long-term goals materially change. A beautifully documented outdated brand strategy is still outdated.
