Create client
Add a business client, capture brand context, and optionally invite their primary contact.
What It Solves
Creating a client gives your agency a central business record for the brand you work with.
It keeps client context connected to campaigns, production work, publishing schedules, and client access instead of spreading that information across messages and documents.
How To Create
- Open Clients.
- Choose Create Client.
- Enter the required client details.
- Add the primary contact name and email.
- Add brand, audience, content goals, social platforms, approval settings, and internal context as needed.
- Choose whether to invite the primary contact to AGENCIE.
- Save the client.
Primary Contact
Every new business client requires a primary contact name and email.
The primary contact identifies the main person your agency works with for that business.
Additional contacts can be managed separately where supported.
Invite Primary Contact
Invite primary contact to the client portal is enabled by default.
When enabled, creating the client also creates a CLIENT invitation for the primary contact.
The invitation is automatically linked to the newly created business client.
When the primary contact accepts the invitation, their AGENCIE membership is scoped to that client.
They do not receive agency-wide client access.
If the primary contact does not need AGENCIE access yet, disable the invitation option before creating the client.
What Happens Next
After creation, the business client becomes available throughout relevant AGENCIE workflows, including:
- Campaigns
- Gigs and work orders
- Content and production context
- Workflow
- Publishing schedules
- Calendar
- CLIENT user scoping
The client record becomes the shared business context that connects these areas.
Client Record vs Client User
Creating a business client does not mean every contact automatically becomes an AGENCIE user.
Business Client → The organization your agency works with
Client Contact → A person associated with that organization
CLIENT User → An authenticated AGENCIE user whose access is linked to that business client
The primary-contact invitation connects these concepts when portal access is needed.
Keep It Lightweight
You do not need to complete every optional field before starting work.
Capture enough information for the team to understand the client and begin working, then expand the Client Playbook as you learn more about the business.
Before sending the invitation, verify the primary contact email. The resulting CLIENT account will be associated with this business client and its permitted campaign data.
