Connect Google Calendar
Connect your Google Calendar to see supported AGENCIE work outside the workspace.
What It Does
Google Calendar integration lets you see supported AGENCIE work in your Google Calendar.
Once connected, you do not need to open AGENCIE just to check when assigned work is due.
AGENCIE remains the source of truth for the actual work, assignment, and workflow state.
Google Calendar provides an external calendar view of that work.
How To Connect
- Open Calendar in AGENCIE.
- Find the Google Calendar connection option.
- Choose Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in to the Google account you want to use.
- Review the requested Google permissions.
- Allow access.
- Return to AGENCIE.
Once the connection is complete, AGENCIE can synchronize supported work with your Google Calendar.
What Gets Synced
Google Calendar synchronization is designed around work relevant to the connected AGENCIE user.
Supported calendar events can be created from AGENCIE work such as assigned workflow tasks and other supported scheduled work.
What appears depends on the underlying assignment, dates, and synchronization support for that type of work.
Not every record visible somewhere in AGENCIE automatically becomes a Google Calendar event.
Assignment Matters
Google Calendar synchronization follows the work relevant to the connected user.
Having a role does not automatically mean every task for that role should appear in your Google Calendar.
For example:
Editor → You can perform editing work.
Assigned Editor → This specific editing task belongs to you and may be synchronized when supported.
This follows the same ownership model used throughout AGENCIE.
Dates Matter
A calendar event needs meaningful scheduling information.
If expected work does not appear in Google Calendar, check whether the underlying AGENCIE item has the required deadline or scheduled date.
Also verify that the work is actually assigned to you.
AGENCIE Is The Source Of Truth
Google Calendar is an external view of supported AGENCIE work.
Use AGENCIE when you need to:
- Change task or workflow state
- Submit work
- Review work
- Request changes
- Manage assignments
- View production context
- Resolve blockers
- Perform other workflow actions
The operational state of the work remains in AGENCIE.
Do not assume that changing an AGENCIE-generated event directly in Google Calendar changes the underlying task, assignment, deadline, or workflow in AGENCIE.
Multiple Agencies
Your Google Calendar connection belongs to your AGENCIE user rather than requiring a separate Google login for every agency workspace.
Supported work can remain associated with the agency where it originated.
Your access to the underlying work is still controlled by your membership and permissions in that agency.
If An Event Is Missing
If expected work does not appear in Google Calendar, check:
- Google Calendar is connected.
- You are signed in to the expected AGENCIE account.
- The work is assigned to you where assignment is required.
- The underlying work has a deadline or scheduled date.
- The work type is supported by Google Calendar synchronization.
- Your agency membership is still active.
Also check the Calendar inside AGENCIE to confirm that the underlying work and scheduling information are correct.
If Work Changes
When supported AGENCIE work changes, its corresponding Google Calendar event can be updated as part of the synchronization process.
Continue treating AGENCIE as the authoritative place for production and assignment changes.
Privacy And Access
Connecting Google Calendar does not change your AGENCIE permissions.
You can only receive supported calendar information for work available to your account through its agency memberships and assignments.
Connecting Google Calendar does not grant additional access to agencies, clients, campaigns, or workflow data.
Google Calendar is useful for answering "When do I need to do this?" Use AGENCIE when you need to answer "What exactly do I need to do, and what happens next?"
