What It Is
A Gig is a direct piece of work assigned to a team member or freelancer.
Use it when the work has a clear owner, requirement, and deadline but does not need the planning and production structure of a full Campaign.
Examples:
- Write 5 scripts by Friday
- Edit 3 reels
- Design 6 social posts
- Shoot product photos
- Prepare campaign copy
- Complete a one-time client request
How To Create
- Open Gigs.
- Choose New Gig.
- Select the business client when relevant.
- Choose the gig type.
- Add a clear title and instructions.
- Choose the assignee.
- Choose the reviewer where required.
- Set the due date and priority.
- Add optional work details.
- Create the gig.
Assignee
The assignee is the person responsible for completing the work.
Once assigned, the Gig becomes part of that person's operational work and can appear in relevant views such as My Work and Calendar.
The assignee should use the Gig itself to understand the requirement, deadline, and expected output.
Reviewer
Where a reviewer is assigned, submitted work moves to that person for review.
The reviewer can then perform the actions available for the current Gig state, such as approving the work or requesting changes.
Requested changes return responsibility to the assignee so the work can be updated and submitted again.
Optional Fields
Some Gig details are optional.
Depending on the current form and configuration, these can include fields such as:
- Estimated hours
- Reward
Only add them when they are useful for the assignment.
What Happens Next
After the Gig is created:
Gig Created → Assigned → Work Completed → Submitted → Reviewed → Completed
If changes are requested, the Gig returns to the assignee before being submitted again.
The exact available actions depend on the current Gig state and the user's permissions.
Gig vs Campaign
Use a Gig when the work is a direct assignment that can stand on its own.
Use a Campaign when the work belongs to a structured client plan involving deliverables, production stages, campaign teams, and publishing schedules.
For example:
5 scripts by Friday → Gig
8 reels and 12 posts every month with production and publishing → Campaign
A Gig avoids creating campaign infrastructure for work that simply needs to get done.
A good Gig should tell the assignee what needs to be delivered, when it is due, and what the expected result looks like. If the requirement needs seventeen WhatsApp messages after assignment, the Gig description has failed its one job.
