How Invitations Work
Use Team to invite someone to your agency by email.
When creating an invitation:
- Open Team.
- Choose Invite Member.
- Enter the person's email.
- Select one or more roles.
- Send the invitation.
AGENCIE creates an invitation for that agency and sends the recipient an invitation email.
Accepting An Invitation
The recipient opens the invitation link and signs in using the invited email address.
After the invitation is accepted, AGENCIE creates or activates their membership in that agency with the assigned roles.
The person then appears as an active member in Team.
Multiple Roles
A team member can have more than one role.
For example:
- Writer + Editor
- DOP + Editor
- Designer + Social Media Manager
AGENCIE uses the member's roles to determine their available navigation and actions within that agency.
Agency-Specific Access
A user can belong to multiple agencies using the same AGENCIE account.
Membership is evaluated separately for each agency.
This means someone can have different roles and permissions in different agency workspaces.
For example:
Agency A → Writer
Agency B → Editor + Designer
Access in one agency does not grant access to another.
CLIENT Invitations
CLIENT users represent an external business client rather than the internal agency team.
When the CLIENT role is selected, you must also choose the business client the person represents.
After acceptance, their membership is linked to that business client and their access is scoped accordingly.
For a new business client's primary contact, you can also send the CLIENT invitation directly while creating the business client.
Invitation Status
Invitations can have states such as:
- Pending
- Accepted
- Expired
- Cancelled
- Declined
Pending invitations can be managed by authorized users.
Where available, an invitation can be resent or cancelled before it is accepted.
Invitation Management
Invitation actions depend on the current user's role.
In the current Team access model:
- OWNER can invite and manage invitations.
- ADMIN can invite and manage invitations.
- MANAGER can invite members but does not have the full invitation-management view.
- Other internal roles cannot send or manage invitations.
Lower internal roles may still see the Team directory in read-only mode.
What Happens Next
After an employee accepts their invitation, they can begin receiving work according to their role and assignments.
This can include:
- Campaign assignments
- Workflow tasks
- Gigs
- My Work items
- Calendar work
Being a member of the agency does not automatically assign work. Actual responsibility comes from campaign, workflow, or Gig assignments.
Roles control what a member can see and do inside the workspace. Start with the access they actually need and update their roles later if their responsibilities change.
